The QCD scattering amplitude from area behaved Wilson loops
Y. Makeenko, P. Olesen

TL;DR
This paper constructs a dominant saddle-point trajectory in large N QCD for meson scattering, showing its dominance in the Regge regime and its similarity to common meson scattering diagrams.
Contribution
It introduces an explicit saddle-point trajectory in the sum-over-path representation for meson scattering amplitudes in large N QCD with area-behaved Wilson loops.
Findings
The saddle-point dominates in the Regge regime.
The graphical representation resembles standard meson scattering diagrams.
Provides a new geometric perspective on meson scattering amplitudes.
Abstract
We explicitly construct the dominant saddle-point trajectory in the sum-over-path representation of meson scattering amplitudes in large QCD for area-behaved Wilson loops and show that it dominates in the Regge regime. The graphic representation of the leading trajectory is very similar to the diagrams widely used to illustrate meson scattering.
