Operation of the T2K time projection chambers
Georges Vasseur

TL;DR
This paper discusses the design, operation, and performance of the T2K near detector's three micro pattern gaseous time projection chambers, which have been successfully used in the initial physics runs of the experiment.
Contribution
It presents the first detailed account of the operation and performance of the T2K TPCs based on bulk micromegas technology.
Findings
Successful operation during initial physics runs
Effective design and performance of TPCs
Validation of micromegas technology in neutrino detection
Abstract
The three time projection chambers of the T2K near detector are micro pattern gaseous detectors based on bulk micromegas technology. They have been operated successfully during the first two physics runs of the experiment. Their design, operation, and performance are presented.
