TL;DR
This paper investigates how duality violations affect the extraction of electroweak penguin operator matrix elements from tau decay data, which are crucial for understanding K-->pi pi processes in the Standard Model.
Contribution
It provides a preliminary analysis of the impact of duality violations on the determination of D=6 VEVs from tau decay data for electroweak penguin operators.
Findings
Duality violations can significantly influence matrix element extractions.
The study highlights the need to account for duality violations in precision calculations.
Results suggest potential revisions in the interpretation of tau decay data for kaon decay studies.
Abstract
We discuss a preliminary study of the impact of duality violations on extractions from tau decay data of the D=6 VEVs which determine chiral limit Standard Model K-->pi pi matrix elements of the electroweak penguin operators.
