Cosmic Acceleration in Brans-Dicke Cosmology
Yousef Bisabr (Farzan-nahad)

TL;DR
This paper explores how Brans-Dicke theory with a self-interacting potential can explain cosmic acceleration in a flat universe, aligning with local gravity constraints.
Contribution
It demonstrates that accelerated expansion is achievable in Brans-Dicke cosmology with large parameters, consistent with experimental bounds.
Findings
Accelerated expansion possible in flat universe
Large Brans-Dicke parameter consistent with experiments
Self-interacting potential enables acceleration
Abstract
We consider Brans-Dicke theory with a self-interacting potential in Einstein conformal frame. We show that an accelerating expansion is possible in a spatially flat universe for large values of the Brans-Dicke parameter consistent with local gravity experiments.
