$W$ and $Z$ Production in the Forward Region with LHCb
Philip Ilten

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of W and Z boson production in the forward region at the LHCb experiment, testing the Standard Model and constraining parton distribution functions at low x in proton-proton collisions.
Contribution
It provides the first measurements of W and Z production in the forward region at 7 TeV, offering new data to test the Standard Model and improve parton density function models.
Findings
Results agree with Standard Model predictions
Provides constraints on parton distribution functions at low x
Enhances understanding of forward region physics
Abstract
Results for and boson production from collisions at TeV in the LHCb experiment are presented. Due to LHCb's unique forward acceptance in pseudorapidity of these results are a test of the Standard Model in the forward region, and can be used to better constrain parton density functions in the low kinematic regime.
