TL;DR
This paper develops a detailed infrared dust emission model for planetary nebula IC 418, accurately reproducing observed spectra and providing insights into dust composition and element depletion.
Contribution
It presents a novel detailed model of dust emission in PN IC 418, linking dust properties with element depletion in the nebula.
Findings
Successfully reproduces IR emission from 2 to 200μm
Determines dust amount and composition
Links dust properties with element depletion
Abstract
We construct a detailed model for the IR dust emission from the PN IC 418. We succeed to reproduce the emission from 2 to 200m. We can determine the amount of emitting dust as well as its composition, and compare to the depletion of elements determined for the photoionized region.
