R. Forrest, M. Chertok (for the CDF Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports a search for supersymmetric chargino and neutralino particles in dilepton final states with tau leptons, using collider data to set limits on their production cross sections.
Contribution
It introduces a novel search strategy focusing on tau-inclusive dilepton signatures in SUSY models at high tanβ, with detailed analysis of event acceptance and efficiencies.
Findings
No significant excess observed, leading to limits on SUSY particle production cross sections.
First limits set for chargino-neutralino production in tau-inclusive dilepton channels.
Analysis demonstrates the importance of tau leptons in SUSY searches at colliders.
Abstract
We present a search for chargino and neutralino supersymmetric particles yielding same signed dilepton final states including one hadronically decaying tau lepton using 6.0 of data collected by the the CDF II detector. This signature is important in SUSY models where, at high , the branching ratio of charginos and neutralinos to tau leptons becomes dominant. We study event acceptance, lepton identification cuts, and efficiencies. We set limits on the production cross section as a function of SUSY particle mass for certain generic models.
