W and Z Boson Production Cross Section Measurements in ATLAS
Verena Martinez Outschoorn (for the ATLAS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of W and Z boson production cross sections in various decay channels using ATLAS data at 7 TeV, comparing results to NNLO QCD predictions.
Contribution
It presents the first measurements of W and Z boson production in the tau decay channel at the LHC.
Findings
Measured inclusive cross sections for W and Z bosons.
Observed W and Z bosons in tau decay channel.
Results agree with NNLO QCD predictions.
Abstract
The electroweak boson inclusive production cross sections and their ratios are described in the electron and muon decay channels. The observation of W and Z bosons in the tau decay channel is also presented. The data from pp collisions at 7 TeV were collected during 2010 using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider and the results are compared to predictions at NNLO in perturbative QCD.
