Ab initio calculation of the Hoyle state and a new look at clustering in nuclei
Ulf-G. Mei{\ss}ner

TL;DR
This paper presents an ab initio calculation of carbon-12's spectrum, including the Hoyle state, offering new insights into nuclear clustering phenomena.
Contribution
It provides a first-principles calculation of the Hoyle state and introduces a novel interpretation of clustering in nuclei.
Findings
Successful ab initio calculation of the Hoyle state
New interpretation of nuclear clustering
Enhanced understanding of carbon-12 structure
Abstract
I present an ab initio calculation of the spectrum of carbon-12, including also the famous Hoyle state. Its structure is discussed and a new interpretation of clustering in nuclear physics is given.
