TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel method for broadband light polarization conversion using composite retarders, inspired by quantum composite pulse techniques, achieving high efficiency across a broad spectrum.
Contribution
It presents a new design of broadband polarization converters using sequences of rotated retarders, inspired by quantum composite pulse methods, enhancing efficiency and bandwidth.
Findings
Achieves high conversion efficiency over a broad spectral range.
Uses sequences of ordinary retarders with specific rotation angles.
Inspired by quantum composite pulse techniques.
Abstract
Driving on an analogy with the technique of composite pulses in quantum physics, we propose highly efficient broadband polarization converters composed of sequences of ordinary retarders rotated at specific angles with respect to their fast-polarization axes.
