Search for Pair Production of Scalar Leptoquarks
Emanuela Barberis (for the CMS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports on a search for scalar leptoquark pairs using 7 TeV proton-proton collision data from the CMS experiment, focusing on specific decay signatures involving leptons, jets, and missing energy.
Contribution
First search for pair production of scalar leptoquarks at 7 TeV using CMS data, analyzing multiple decay channels with leptons and jets.
Findings
No evidence of scalar leptoquark production found.
Set limits on leptoquark mass and production cross-section.
Analyzed multiple decay signatures for comprehensive search.
Abstract
This article describes the search for pair production of scalar leptoquarks performed by the CMS collaboration using the data from the 2010 proton-proton run of the Large Hadron Collider at a center of mass energy of 7 TeV. The following final state signatures from the decay of a pair of scalar leptoquarks are described in here: the di-lepton plus jets final state (where the leptons are either both electrons or both muons) and the lepton plus jets and transverse missing energy final state (where the lepton is an electron).
