Some Results on Vector and Tensor Meson Mixing in a Generalized QCD-like Theory
Hai-Yang Cheng, Robert Shrock

TL;DR
This paper investigates vector and tensor meson mixing in a generalized QCD-like theory with multiple light quarks and one heavy quark, deriving mixing angles and mass relations, and comparing with experimental data.
Contribution
It provides a generalized theoretical framework for meson mixing angles and mass relations in QCD-like theories with multiple light quarks and one heavy quark.
Findings
Mixing angle approaches arctan(1/√ℓ) as heavy quark mass increases.
Generalized Gell-Mann Okubo mass relation derived.
Comparison with experimental data on ω-ϕ and f₂(1275)-f₂'(1525) mixing included.
Abstract
We present results for the mixing of quark flavor eigenstates to form low-lying vector and tensor meson mass eigenstates in a generalized QCD-like theory with massless or light, degenerate quarks and one quark of substantial mass, . We show that as gets large, where is the confinement scale, the angle governing this mixing approaches . We give a generalization of the Gell-Mann Okubo mass relation for this theory. A comparison of the results with data on - and - mixing is included.
