TL;DR
This study investigates how charge asymmetry and isospin-dependent cross-sections influence nuclear stopping and particle production using quantum molecular dynamics simulations.
Contribution
It demonstrates the significant impact of isospin-dependent cross-sections on nuclear stopping and fragment multiplicities in heavy-ion collisions.
Findings
Nuclear stopping varies with isospin of the cross-section.
Production of light mass fragments depends on charge asymmetry.
Results highlight the importance of isospin effects in nuclear reactions.
Abstract
Using the isospin dependent quantum molecular dynamics model, we study the effect of charge asymmetry and isospin dependent cross-section on nuclear stopping and multiplicity of free nucleons and LMF's. Simulations were carried out for the reactions , where m varies from 47 to 59 and for , where n varies from 14 to 23. Our study shows that nuclear stopping as well as the production of LMF's depend strongly on the isospin of the cross-section.
