W and Z production in the forward region at LHCb
Jonathan Anderson (for the LHCb collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of W and Z boson production in the forward region at LHCb, including cross-sections and ratios, confirming lepton universality and agreement with NNLO QCD predictions.
Contribution
First measurements of W and Z production cross-sections in the forward region at LHCb, including tau decay channels and detailed comparisons with theoretical models.
Findings
Measured W and Z cross-sections with statistical and systematic uncertainties.
Confirmed lepton universality through Z decay ratio.
Found agreement with NNLO QCD predictions.
Abstract
Measurements of electroweak boson production in pp collisions at TeV are presented using the decays , and recorded using the LHCb detector at the LHC. For muonic and decays, the data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 37.1 1.3 pb. Here the and bosons are reconstructed from muons with transverse momenta, , above 20 GeV and pseudorapidity, , between 2 and 4.5, and, in the case of the , a dimuon invariant mass between 60 GeV and 120 GeV. For decays to tau lepton final states, 247 pb of data has been used. Here one tau is identified through its decay to a muon and neutrinos; the other through its decay to an electron or muon and neutrinos. The cross-sections are measured to be: 808 7…
