Meson photoproduction from a transversely polarised target at MAMI
P. Hall Barrientos

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new transversely polarised target at MAMI for precise measurements of polarization observables in meson photoproduction, presenting preliminary results near the threshold and $232$ resonance.
Contribution
Development of a novel transversely polarised frozen spin target enabling advanced polarization measurements in meson photoproduction experiments.
Findings
Preliminary polarization observables for $p\u03c0^0$ and $n\u03c0^+$ final states.
Data collected near threshold and $232$ resonance regions.
Potential for improved understanding of nucleon resonance structures.
Abstract
A new transversely polarised frozen spin target has been developed at MAMI which will be used in conjunction with the photon tagger and the Crystal Ball detector. The new target permits a major new programme of accurate measurement of polarisation observables in meson photoproduction. This contribution presents some of the preliminary analysis from experimental data taken near the threshold and in the region of the resonance. Observables will be obtained for the and final states.
