Mahatsab Mandal, Sreemoyee Sarkar, Pradip Roy, Abhee K., Dutt-Mazumder

TL;DR
This paper derives the energy loss in a two-stream QCD plasma caused by field fluctuations, highlighting the dominant role of unstable modes and the strong directional dependence of energy dissipation.
Contribution
It introduces a new derivation of collisional energy loss considering unstable modes in a two-stream plasma, emphasizing the impact of field fluctuations.
Findings
Unstable modes grow exponentially over time.
Energy loss shows strong directional dependence.
Main contribution from unstable modes.
Abstract
We derive the expression for the collisional energy loss in two stream plasma induced by the fluctuating chromoelectric field. It is revealed that the main contribution here comes from the unstable modes which grow exponentially with time. A strong direction dependence of the energy loss has also been demonstrated.
