TL;DR
This paper explores the connection between three-dimensional Lifshitz black holes in New Massive Gravity and the Korteweg-de Vries equation through the AdS/CTF correspondence, revealing a potential boundary theory relation.
Contribution
It establishes a theoretical link between Lifshitz black hole solutions in 3D gravity and the Korteweg-de Vries equation at the boundary, a novel insight in holographic dualities.
Findings
Identifies a relation between 3D Lifshitz black holes and KdV equation
Uses AdS/CTF correspondence to connect bulk gravity and boundary models
Suggests a boundary integrable system corresponding to the bulk solution
Abstract
We consider a solution of three dimensional New Massive Gravity with a negative cosmological constant and use the AdS/CTF correspondence to inquire about the equivalent two dimensional model at the boundary. We conclude that there should be a close relation with the Korteweg-de Vries equation.
