Wenqin Xu (for the STAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports on measurements of non-photonic electrons in gold-gold collisions at RHIC, providing insights into heavy quark production and interactions in the quark-gluon plasma.
Contribution
It presents new high-statistics measurements of NPE production, azimuthal correlations, and elliptic flow at RHIC, improving understanding of heavy flavor dynamics.
Findings
Enhanced NPE yield at high transverse momentum
Significant azimuthal anisotropy of NPEs
Evidence of heavy quark energy loss in the medium
Abstract
We present preliminary results of Non-Photonic Electron (NPE) production, NPE-hadron azimuthal correlation as well as NPE elliptic flow studies at midrapidity using a data set with high statistics and low photon conversion background from collisions at GeV collected at RHIC in Run 2010.
