A comment on AdS collapse of a scalar field in higher dimensions
Joanna Ja{\l}mu\.zna, Andrzej Rostworowski, Piotr Bizo\'n

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the weakly turbulent instability of anti-de Sitter space, previously observed in four dimensions, also exists in higher dimensions, challenging earlier claims that it was dimension-specific.
Contribution
It extends the understanding of AdS instability by showing it occurs in all higher dimensions, not just four, correcting prior misconceptions.
Findings
AdS instability is present in all dimensions d+1 for d≥3.
The instability is not limited to four-dimensional spacetime.
Contradicts previous claims that the instability is dimension-specific.
Abstract
We point out that the weakly turbulent instability of anti-de Sitter space, recently found in arXiv:1104.3702 for four dimensional spherically symmetric Einstein-massless-scalar field equations with negative cosmological constant, is present in all dimensions for , contrary to a claim made in arXiv:1106.2339.
