Comment on `Electromagnetic force on a moving dipole'
V. Hnizdo

TL;DR
This paper critiques a previous derivation of electromagnetic force on a moving dipole, highlighting missing terms using the Lagrangian formalism to improve the theoretical understanding.
Contribution
It identifies missing terms in the prior electromagnetic force derivation on a moving dipole using Lagrangian formalism.
Findings
Previous derivation omitted key terms
Lagrangian formalism reveals additional force components
Improves theoretical accuracy of electromagnetic force calculations
Abstract
Using the Lagrangian formalism, the electromagnetic force on a moving dipole derived by Kholmetskii, Missevitch and Yarman (2011, Eur. J. Phys. 32, 873) is found to be missing some important terms.
