Search for new physics in high $p_T$ like-sign dilepton events at CDF~II
CDF Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports a search for new physics involving high transverse momentum like-sign dilepton events at CDF II, setting mass limits on doubly-charged scalars with results consistent with the Standard Model.
Contribution
First search for doubly-charged scalars in like-sign dilepton events at CDF II with new mass limits established.
Findings
No significant excess over Standard Model predictions.
Lower mass limits for doubly-charged scalars range from 190 to 245 GeV/c^2.
Results constrain models predicting such particles.
Abstract
We present a search for new physics in events with two high leptons of the same electric charge, using data with an integrated luminosity of 6.1 fb. The observed data are consistent with standard model predictions. We set 95% C.L. lower limits on the mass of doubly-charged scalars decaying to like-sign dileptons, GeV/, depending on the decay mode and coupling.
