TL;DR
This paper benchmarks six modern parton distribution function sets for the LHC, analyzing differences in predictions for key particle productions and discussing recent updates to improve accuracy.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis of PDF sets and examines the reasons for prediction discrepancies, including recent updates to the PDFs.
Findings
Differences in predictions for W, Z, and Higgs production are analyzed.
Recent updates to PDFs improve prediction consistency.
Benchmarking results guide future PDF development.
Abstract
The PDF4LHC group has benchmarked six modern PDF sets and used them to make predictions for W,Z and Higgs production at the LHC. The reasons why predictions differ are examined and recent updates to the PDFs and their predictions are presented
