Measurement of Polarization and Search for CP-Violation in $B_s^0 \to \phi\phi$ Decays
CDF Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports the first measurement of polarization and CP-violation in $B_s^0 o \, \phi\phi$ decays, providing new insights into CP-violation and decay dynamics in heavy mesons.
Contribution
It presents the first measurement of polarization and CP-violating asymmetries in $B_s^0 o \, \\phi\\phi$ decays and improves the branching ratio determination using data from the CDF experiment.
Findings
Longitudinal polarization fraction is 0.348 ± 0.041 (stat) ± 0.021 (syst)
Branching ratio is (2.32 ± 0.18 (stat) ± 0.82 (syst)) × 10^{-5}
CP asymmetries are consistent with no violation within uncertainties
Abstract
We present the first measurement of polarization and CP-violating asymmetries in decays into two light vector mesons, , and an improved determination of its branching ratio using 295 decays reconstructed in a data sample corresponding to 2.9 fb^-1 of integrated luminosity collected by the CDF experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. The fraction of longitudinal polarization is determined to be , and the branching ratio B_s^0 \to \phi\phi. Asymmetries of decay angle distributions sensitive to \CP\ violation are measured to be and .
