Nuclear modification factors from the CMS experiment
Yen-Jie Lee (for the CMS collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of nuclear modification factors for Z bosons, photons, and charged particles in PbPb collisions at 2.76 TeV, revealing no modification for photons and Z bosons but significant suppression for charged particles.
Contribution
First measurements of nuclear modification factors for Z bosons, photons, and charged particles in PbPb collisions at this energy with the CMS detector.
Findings
No modification observed for Z bosons and photons compared to pp references.
Large suppression observed in charged particle production.
Results provide insights into quark-gluon plasma effects on different particles.
Abstract
We report the measurements of nuclear modification factors of the Z bosons, isolated photons and charged particles in = 2.76 TeV PbPb collisions with the CMS detector. The nuclear modification factors are constructed by dividing the PbPb spectra, normalized to the number of binary collisions, by the pp references. No modifications are observed in isolated photon and Z boson production with respected to the pp references while large suppression is observed in the charged particles.
