A. Taufiq Asyhari, Tobias Koch, Albert Guill\'en i F\`abregas

TL;DR
This paper investigates the achievable data rates in a noncoherent MIMO fading MAC using nearest neighbor decoding combined with pilot-assisted channel estimation, focusing on the high SNR regime.
Contribution
It provides an analysis of the rate and pre-log regions for noncoherent MIMO MACs with pilot-assisted estimation and nearest neighbor decoding, which was previously unexplored.
Findings
Derived the achievable rate region for the model.
Calculated the pre-log region as SNR approaches infinity.
Identified the impact of pilot-assisted estimation on high SNR performance.
Abstract
We study a noncoherent multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) fading multiple-access channel (MAC), where the transmitters and the receiver are aware of the statistics of the fading, but not of its realisation. We analyse the rate region that is achievable with nearest neighbour decoding and pilot-assisted channel estimation and determine the corresponding pre-log region, which is defined as the limiting ratio of the rate region to the logarithm of the SNR as the SNR tends to infinity.
