Wilson Loops in N=2 Super-Yang-Mills from Matrix Model
F. Passerini, K. Zarembo

TL;DR
This paper calculates the expectation value of circular Wilson loops in N=2 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory with fundamental hypermultiplets, revealing a logarithmic scaling of string tension with the 't Hooft coupling in the dual string theory.
Contribution
It provides a novel computation of Wilson loop expectation values in N=2 theories with fundamental matter, connecting field theory results to string theory predictions.
Findings
String tension scales logarithmically with 't Hooft coupling
Wilson loop expectation value computed explicitly for N=2 with N_f=2N
Supports the duality between N=2 SYM and string theory with specific scaling behavior
Abstract
We compute the expectation value of the circular Wilson loop in N=2 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory with N_f=2N hypermultiplets. Our results indicate that the string tension in the dual string theory scales as the logarithm of the 't Hooft coupling.
