Violating the string winding number maximally in Anti-de Sitter space
Gaston Giribet

TL;DR
This paper investigates string scattering in AdS3, focusing on maximal winding number violation, and confirms a conjecture about the mathematical form of these scattering amplitudes through conformal field theory calculations.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed analysis of maximally winding number violating processes in AdS3 string theory, confirming a key conjecture about their functional form.
Findings
Confirmed the conjectured functional form of maximally winding violating amplitudes
Demonstrated the applicability of conformal field theory methods to these processes
Enhanced understanding of winding number violation in AdS3 string dynamics
Abstract
We study n-string scattering amplitudes in three-dimensional Anti-de Sitter space (AdS3). We focus our attention on the processes in which the winding number conservation is violated maximally; that is, those processes in which it is violated in n-2 units. A worldsheet conformal field theory calculation leads us to confirm a previous conjecture about the functional form of these observables.
