Panagiotis Katsas (for the CMS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper presents early results from CMS on jet production in proton-proton collisions at 7 TeV, including measurements of cross sections, event shapes, and jet correlations, compared with theoretical models.
Contribution
It provides new experimental measurements of jet observables at 7 TeV, testing QCD predictions and Monte Carlo models against collider data.
Findings
Measured inclusive jet cross sections and ratios
Analyzed jet structure and event shapes
Compared data with QCD and Monte Carlo predictions
Abstract
Preliminary results on a variety of jet analyses are presented using pp collision data collected by the CMS experiment at =7 TeV. We report on measurements of the inclusive jet cross sections, the ratio of the inclusive three-jet over two-jet cross sections, the hadronic event shapes, the jet structure and the dijet azimuthal decorrelations. The data distributions are compared with the predictions of Monte Carlo event generators and with perturbative QCD calculations.
