Abstract
In this study, the temperature dependencies of magnetic response functions of the anhydrous dihalides of iron-group elements are examined in the neighborhood of multi-critical points (tricritical, critical end point, double critical end point) and first order transition temperatures within molecular field approximation. Our findings reveal the fact that metamagnetic Ising system exhibits anomalies in the temperature dependence of the magnetic response functions for r<0.3. In addition, we extensively investigated how an inter- and intra-layer exchange interaction ratio can influence magnetic response properties of these systems. Finally, a comparison is made with related works.
