Constrained Jackiw-Rebbi model gives McGreevy-Swingle model
S.-H. Ho

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the McGreevy-Swingle model for Majorana fermions can be derived from the Jackiw-Rebbi model by imposing a conjugation self-duality constraint, linking two important theoretical models.
Contribution
It introduces a novel connection between the Jackiw-Rebbi and McGreevy-Swingle models through a specific conjugation self-duality constraint.
Findings
McGreevy-Swingle model arises from constrained Jackiw-Rebbi model
Conjugation self-duality links two models for Majorana fermions
Provides a new theoretical perspective on Majorana fermions in monopole backgrounds
Abstract
We show that the recently considered McGreevy-Swingle model for Majorana fermions in the presence of a 't Hooft-Polyakov magnetic monopole arises when the Jackiw-Rebbi model is constrained to be conjugation self dual.
