$\Delta m_D$ and $\Delta \Gamma_D$ revisted
Chuan-Hung Chen, C. S. Kim

TL;DR
This paper revisits the measurements of $D$ meson lifetime and mass differences, exploring how unparticle physics could explain the observed ratio of these differences through a peculiar phase in the unparticle propagator.
Contribution
It introduces a novel explanation for the $D$ meson oscillation data using unparticle physics and highlights the role of the off-shell unparticle propagator phase.
Findings
The data shows $y_D$ is larger than $x_D$, contrary to other meson systems.
Unparticle physics can naturally account for the observed ratio of $y_D$ to $x_D$.
The peculiar phase in the unparticle propagator influences $D-ar D$ oscillations.
Abstract
The lifetime difference () and mass difference () of neutral meson have been measured with and , respectively. Intriguingly, in contrast with the cases of and systems, the current data indicate that and favors to be larger than . For explaining the experimental indication, we here study the oscillation in the framework of unparticle physics. We demonstrate that {\it the peculiar phase appearing in off-shell unparticle propagator} could play an important role on and .
