Signals of Inflationary Models with Cosmic Strings
Mark Hindmarsh

TL;DR
This paper reviews inflationary models that produce cosmic strings, focusing on their signals and observational prospects in the Cosmic Microwave Background, highlighting recent theoretical and observational developments.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of the current status of calculating and observing signals from inflationary models with cosmic strings, emphasizing CMB signatures.
Findings
Cosmic strings produce detectable signals in the CMB.
Recent observational efforts constrain cosmic string models.
Theoretical calculations of string signals are advancing.
Abstract
A class of well-motivated models of inflation end by producing cosmic strings. The current status of efforts to calculate and observe the signals from such models are outlined, with a particular emphasis on cosmic strings, and on the Cosmic Microwave Background signal.
