TL;DR
This paper introduces a new model for channels with synchronization errors and provides new lower bounds on their capacity, advancing understanding of such channels.
Contribution
The paper presents a novel channel model for synchronization errors and derives tight lower bounds on capacity for specific cases.
Findings
New channel model for synchronization errors
Tight lower bounds on channel capacity
Applicable to certain synchronization error channels
Abstract
We propose a new channel model for channels with synchronization errors. Using this model, we give simple, non-trivial and, in some cases, tight lower bounds on the capacity for certain synchronization error channels.
