Amin Esfahani, Steven Levandosky

TL;DR
This paper investigates solitary wave solutions of the rotation-generalized Benjamin-Ono equation, demonstrating their orbital stability under specific wave speeds, which advances understanding of wave behavior in rotating deep water environments.
Contribution
It introduces the analysis of solitary waves in the rotation-generalized Benjamin-Ono equation and proves their orbital stability for certain wave speeds.
Findings
Solitary waves are orbitally stable for specific wave speeds.
The study extends the understanding of wave stability in rotating fluid models.
The equation models weakly nonlinear long waves in deep water with rotation.
Abstract
This work studies the rotation-generalized Benjamin-Ono equation which is derived from the theory of weakly nonlinear long surface and internal waves in deep water under the presence of rotation. It is shown that the solitary-wave solutions are orbitally stable for certain wave speeds.
