What Maxwell's demon could do for you
Karl Svozil

TL;DR
This paper explores the theoretical possibility that Maxwell's demon could, under specific conditions, violate the second law of thermodynamics, potentially enabling perpetual motion machines by manipulating single particles.
Contribution
It presents a speculative argument that Maxwell's demon could break the second law under certain physical conditions, challenging traditional thermodynamics.
Findings
Maxwell's demon might access single particle capabilities to violate thermodynamics.
Theoretical conditions under which the second law could be broken.
Implications for the concept of perpetual motion machines.
Abstract
In this highly speculative Letter it is argued that, under certain physical conditions, Maxwell's demon might be capable of breaking the second law of thermodynamics, thereby allowing a perpetual motion machine of the second kind, by accessing single particle capabilities.
