TL;DR
This study searches for CP violation in specific D meson decays using T-odd correlations, finding results consistent with the Standard Model and providing constraints on CP-violating effects.
Contribution
First measurement of CP violation using T-odd correlations in D+ and Ds+ decays with large data sample at BaBar.
Findings
No significant CP violation observed, results consistent with Standard Model
Measured asymmetries: 2.0 1 10.0 4.6 3 and 3.6 1 7.7 1 3.4 3
Analysis demonstrates the sensitivity of T-odd correlations in charm decays
Abstract
We search for CP violation in a sample of 20000 Cabibbo-suppressed decays, , and 30000 Cabibbo-favored decays, . We use 520 of data recorded by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy collider operating at center of mass energies near 10.6 . We search for CP violation in the difference between the -odd asymmetries obtained using triple product correlations of the () and () decays, respectively. The violation parameter values obtained are and , which are consistent with the standard model expectations.
