Exclusive $\bar\Xi\Xi$ and $\bar\Xi_c\Xi_c$ production in $\bar pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}\leq 15$ GeV
A.I. Titov, B. Kampfer

TL;DR
This paper estimates differential cross sections and asymmetries for exclusive anti-Xi Xi and anti-Xi_c Xi_c production in proton-antiproton collisions at energies up to 15 GeV, using a modified Regge model to analyze two-step hyperon production processes.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed theoretical model for hyperon production in proton-antiproton collisions, highlighting the sensitivity of yield ratios to SU(4) symmetry violation.
Findings
Yield ratios are highly sensitive to SU(4) symmetry breaking.
Loop diagrams within a modified Regge model effectively describe the production amplitudes.
Predictions include differential cross sections and asymmetries for hyperon production.
Abstract
Estimates of differential cross sections and longitudinal asymmetries are presented for the reactions and at energies GeV. The and hyperons are assumed to be produced in two-step processes: first, intermediate and/or states are created which are converted afterwards into final states , and . The full amplitudes are described by loop diagrams within a modified Regge model, based on the topological decomposition of planar quark diagrams. A strong sensitivity of the ratio of yields of to and of to to the degree of SU(4) symmetry violation is found.
