Observation of Evolutionary Velocity Field in Matching Pennies Game
Bin Xu, Zhijian Wang

TL;DR
This paper reports the first observation of the evolutionary velocity field in the population strategy space of a matching pennies game through laboratory experiments, providing new insights into strategic evolution dynamics.
Contribution
It introduces a novel measurement of evolutionary velocity in game strategy space, advancing understanding of dynamic behavior in experimental economics.
Findings
First empirical observation of velocity field in strategy space
Demonstrates dynamic evolution patterns in matching pennies game
Provides a new metric for analyzing strategic change
Abstract
In a matching pennies game of laboratory experimental economics, with the metric for an instantaneous velocity measurement, we report the first observation of the evolutionary velocity field in the population strategy state space.
