Dragos-Patru Covei

TL;DR
This paper establishes the existence and asymptotic behavior of positive solutions to a singular elliptic boundary value problem using comparison methods and sub-super solutions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach combining truncation of singularities with classical comparison techniques to prove existence results.
Findings
Existence of positive solutions under certain conditions
Asymptotic behavior characterized for solutions
Method applicable to a class of singular elliptic problems
Abstract
In this paper we obtain existence results for the positive solution of a singular elliptic boundary value problem. To prove the main results we use comparison arguments and the method of sub-super solutions combined with a procedure which truncates the singularity.
