Measurement of the WW cross section in sqrt(s) = 7 TeV pp collisions with ATLAS
The ATLAS Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports a measurement of the WW production cross section at 7 TeV proton-proton collisions using ATLAS data, confirming consistency with the Standard Model predictions.
Contribution
First measurement of WW cross section at 7 TeV with ATLAS, using 34 pb^-1 of data and leptonic decay channels.
Findings
Measured cross section: 41 pb with uncertainties.
Observed 8 candidate events against 1.7 expected background.
Results agree with Standard Model predictions.
Abstract
This Letter presents a measurement of the production cross section in collisions by the ATLAS experiment, using 34 of integrated luminosity produced by the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Selecting events with two isolated leptons, each either an electron or a muon, 8 candidate events are observed with an expected background of events. The measured cross section is pb, which is consistent with the standard model prediction of pb calculated at next-to-leading order in QCD.
