Johannes Bl\"umlein, J\"urgen Brunner

TL;DR
This paper re-analyzes historical beam dump data to establish new exclusion limits on the mass and coupling of dark gauge bosons, advancing constraints on dark sector theories.
Contribution
It provides the first updated limits on dark gauge forces using re-analyzed historical proton beam dump data from the 1989 experiment.
Findings
New mass-coupling exclusion bounds for dark gauge bosons
Refined constraints improve previous limits
Demonstrates value of re-analyzing archival experimental data
Abstract
We re-analyze proton beam dump data taken at the U70 accelerator at IHEP Serpukhov with the -calorimeter I experiment in 1989 to set mass-coupling limits for dark gauge forces. The corresponding data have been used for axion and light Higgs particle searches in Refs. before. We determine new mass and coupling exclusion bounds for dark gauge bosons.
