The colours of quarks as new degrees of freedom
S. Mukherjee (Banerjee), S.N. Banerjee

TL;DR
This paper explores the origin of quark colors, deriving the number of colors from fractal properties in a statistical model, and examines related properties like coupling constants and electric charges.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach linking quark colors to fractal properties, providing new insights into their fundamental nature.
Findings
Number of quark colors derived as three from fractal properties
Reproduction of the quark-gluon coupling constant
Study of intrinsic electric charge properties of quarks
Abstract
The origin of the colours of quarks has been explored and the number of colours equal to three has been derived from the fractal properties suggested in the statistical model. The quark gluon coupling constant has been reproduced and the properties of the intrinsic electric charges of quarks have also been studied.
