TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel method to identify boundary conformal field theories of the 2D Ising model's critical points by analyzing excitation spectra under various boundary conditions.
Contribution
The authors develop a new spectral analysis technique to distinguish BCFTs associated with the 2D Ising critical points, linking quantum spin chain spectra with conformal theories.
Findings
Spectral measurements match BCFT predictions for different boundary conditions.
The method effectively identifies boundary conformal field theories of the Ising model.
Provides a practical approach to connect quantum spectra with conformal boundary theories.
Abstract
We present a new method to identify the Boundary Conformal Field Theories (BCFTs) describing the critical points of the Ising model on the strip. It consists in measuring the low-lying excitation energies spectra of its quantum spin chain for different boundary conditions and then to compare them with those of the different boundary conformal field theories of the minimal model.
