A wavelet characterization for the upper global Holder index
Marianne Clausel--Lesourd (ICJ), Nicolay Samuel

TL;DR
This paper introduces a wavelet-based method to characterize the upper global Holder index, an irregular variation of the standard Holder index, expanding the analytical tools for irregular function regularity analysis.
Contribution
It provides the first wavelet characterization of the upper global Holder index, bridging a gap in the analysis of irregular function regularity.
Findings
Wavelet characterization of the upper global Holder index established.
New analytical framework for irregular function regularity.
Extension of wavelet methods to irregular index analysis.
Abstract
In this paper, we give a wavelet characterization of the upper global Holder index, which can be seen as the irregular counterpart of the usual global Holder index, for which a wavelet characterization is well-known.
