Correlation energy of the spin-polarized uniform electron gas at high density
Pierre-Fran\c{c}ois Loos, Peter M. W. Gill

TL;DR
This paper derives an exact expression for the coefficient b1_1(b6) in the high-density correlation energy of the spin-polarized uniform electron gas, correcting previous errors and analyzing spin contributions.
Contribution
It provides a new, exact formula for b1_1(b6) valid for all spin polarizations, including limits, and clarifies a previous incorrect value.
Findings
Derived an exact expression for b1_1(b6)
Corrected the previously published b1_1(1) value
Analyzed spin-resolved contributions to the correlation energy
Abstract
The correlation energy per electron in the high-density uniform electron gas can be written as , where is the Seitz radius and is the relative spin polarization. We derive an expression for which is exact for any , including the paramagnetic and ferromagnetic limits, and , and discover that the previously published value is incorrect. We trace this error to an integration and limit that do not commute. The spin-resolution of into contributions of electron pairs is also derived.
