Contribution
It introduces a method to compute Berry phases from Schrödinger equations for vector states using coherent states in spin systems.
Findings
Berry phase calculated for spin 1/2 and 1 in SU(2)
Berry phase computed for spin 1 in SU(3)
Method applicable to various spin and group configurations
Abstract
In this paper we obtain Berry phase from Schr\"odinger equation. For vector states, basic kets are coherent states in real parameterization. We calculate Berry phase for spin S=1/2 and spin S=1 in SU(2) group and Berry phase for spin S=1 in SU(3) group.
