Alexandra Behrle, Marco Koschorreck, and Michael K\"ohl

TL;DR
This study measures isotope shifts and hyperfine splittings of the $4s ightarrow 5p$ transition in potassium isotopes using Doppler-free laser spectroscopy, providing detailed atomic data relevant for nuclear and atomic physics.
Contribution
It reports the first measurements of hyperfine splitting and isotope shifts for the $4s ightarrow 5p$ transition in potassium isotopes, including specific mass and field shift constants.
Findings
Hyperfine splitting of the $5p$ state in $^{40}$K determined.
Isotope shifts for $^{39}$K, $^{40}$K, and $^{41}$K measured.
Specific mass and field shift constants obtained.
Abstract
We have investigated transition ( line) of the potassium isotopes K, K, and K using Doppler-free laser saturation spectroscopy. Our measurements reveal the hyperfine splitting of the state of K and we have determined the specific mass shift and the nuclear field shift constants for the blue line.
