TL;DR
This paper uses QCD light-cone sum rules to determine the $B o \pi$ form factors and extract the CKM matrix element $|V_{ub}|$, providing insights into semileptonic decay shapes, spectra, and potential new physics effects.
Contribution
It presents a novel calculation of $B o \pi$ form factors from QCD sum rules and extracts $|V_{ub}|$ using recent experimental data, also analyzing decay spectra and new physics sensitivity.
Findings
Extracted $|V_{ub}|$ as $(3.50^{+0.38}_{-0.33} ext{(th)} ext{±} 0.11 ext{(exp)}) imes 10^{-3}
Provided the $q^2$-shape of the decay in the entire semileptonic region
Discussed the potential of the $B o au u_ au$ to test the Standard Model and new physics
Abstract
We employ the form factors obtained from QCD light-cone sum rules and calculate the width () in units of , integrated over the region of accessible momentum transfers, . Using the most recent BABAR-collaboration measurements we extract . The sum rule results for the form factors, taken as an input for a -series parameterization, yield the -shape in the whole semileptonic region of . We also present the charged lepton energy spectrum in this decay. Furthermore, the current situation with is discussed from the QCD point of view. We suggest to use the ratio of the and widths as an additional test of Standard Model. The…
