Guo Liang, Qian Shou, Qi Guo

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new class of stable spiraling elliptic solitons with orbital angular momentum in nonlocal nonlinear media, except in the local Gaussian response case, expanding understanding of soliton behavior.
Contribution
It presents the discovery of spiraling elliptic solitons in generic nonlocal media, highlighting their stability across various degrees of nonlocality.
Findings
Solitons carry orbital angular momentum.
Stable in nonlocal media except Gaussian local case.
Existence across a range of nonlocality degrees.
Abstract
We have introduced a class of spiraling elliptic solitons in generic nonlocal nonlinear media. The spiraling elliptic solitons carry the orbital angular momentum. This class solitons are stable for any degree of nonlocality except for the local case when the response function of the material is Gaussian function.
