Semileptonic B-Meson Decays at BaBar
M. Sigamani (for the BaBar collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports on measurements of semileptonic B-meson decays at BaBar, providing new estimates of the CKM matrix element |V_{cb}| using inclusive and exclusive decay channels based on large data samples.
Contribution
It presents novel measurements of |V_{cb}| from both inclusive and exclusive semileptonic B decays, utilizing extensive data samples from BaBar.
Findings
Two measurements of |V_{cb}| are reported.
Results are based on large data samples of 232 and 460 million B decays.
Semileptonic B decays are identified via lepton detection in tagged events.
Abstract
Presented are selected results of semileptonic B decays at BaBar. Two measurements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element are reported. One using moments of the hadronic-mass spectrum in inclusive decays, and the other, exclusive decays. These results are based on data samples of 232 (inclusive ) and 460 (exclusive ) million decays, recorded by the detector at the PEP-II -storage rings. Semileptonic B decays are identified by requiring a lepton ( or ) in events tagged with a full reconstruction of one of the B mesons in the pair.
